Primary responsibly for supporting Strategic Planning/Business Development efforts by key health system stakeholders such as the the Marketing Department, the Physician Practice Relations Department, and the Hospital Strategic Planning Department. To include research, design and production of data analyses, preparation of reports and presentations, maintenance of a project management database.
Provides technical and analytic support for the system leaders to assist in achieving strategic goals, responding proactively to market opportunities, and complying with regulatory requirements, such as the Certificate of Need process
Provide support to Service Line Directors, Department Managers, physicians, and other staff
Assist in the performance of financial review for new services and actively participate in any project which may influence or impact the Strategic Planning/Business Developement
Build/analyze physician compensations plans, work RVU reports, clinical affiliation data, productivity and compensation analyses as well as referral and out migration data
Required Skills and Qualifications:
BS in Business, Finance, Accounting, Accounting Information Systems (or similar information systems degrees), Health Care Management, equivalent Finance or Information Systems
Working knowledge of Finance or Accounting with Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn new systems
Demonstrate a high level of analytical skills with focus on business analysis and secondary focus on systems analysis
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge of LEAN Principles highly preferred
2-5 Years of Information systems, financial analysis, or healthcare experience
Knowledge of health insurance industry. Particularly claims data.
Solid understanding or experience with decision support systems, business intelligence software, cost accounting principles, or accounting systems
