Cert Pharmacy Technician

Position Highlights:

  • Assists Pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications and pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Keeps records and makes reports required by law and processes documents required by the hospital.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Will have at least 2 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy with unit-dose, computer and I.V. admixture experience.
  • Has National certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Has familiarity with drug names and competent math and typing skills.
  • Has successful completion of an accredited technician training program.


  • Dispenses medication orders for checking by a pharmacist.
  • Prepares intravenous admixtures of non-chemotherapy and chemotherapy agents.
  • Maintains inventory control and quality.
  • Delivers medication, including controlled substances and department stock supplies (exchange carts) and maintains all necessary records.

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Florida required.
