- Bachelor's Degree
- Includes Evaluation and implementation of treatment program in accordance with practice standards and ethics provided by the MD Licensing Board; coordinating patient needs; and overseeing work of aides, volunteers, and students. Will also be responsible for patient/family, hospital and community education and other departmental functions. Graduate of an accredited Master of Arts or Science degree in Speech Pathology program. MD Licensure. CPR certification (American Heart Association - Health Care Provider). Experience with modified barium swallow studies is strongly preferred. Must have knowledge and ability to use current theories and practice of speech therapy safely and appropriately. Effective communication skills are required, including the ability to interact with all levels of staff, patients, and families. Position requires lifting in excess of 100 lbs. Must be able to perform considerable amounts of kneeling, bending, stooping, and standing on feet throughout shift.
