Position requires some weekend and holiday work, Two year degree required with strong knowledge of MS Office especially Excel.

                                                                                            

Position Summary: Handles all activities relative to the preparation and production of the payroll for all departments within the MMC Human Resources Department scope of responsibility.Maintains proficiency with the automated time and attendance system.Produces and distributes reports from each processed payroll to assure the appropriate and timely processing of benefit and pension deductions.

 

Performs record maintenance activities to keep the information in the payroll, time & attendance, and position management databases current.  Sets up the physical personnel record on each new employee coordinating the completion of the appropriate forms from the position management system, governmental and local sources.Coordinates the ongoing maintenance of the physical records with the Benefits Coordinator and the Human Resources Manager.Provides guidance and training to managers, supervisors and employees in the use and functions of both the automated time & attendance and position management systems.

 

Coordinates employment activities for Murphy Medical Center through the automated position management control system.Refers new requisitions for consideration by the position management group and undertakes those actions proscribed by the decisions of that group.  Develops job announcements, posts jobs, qualifies, refer and notifies applicants.  Maintains the position management system advising hiring managers of changes and actions required within the system.

 

Requirement:  Licensure: N/A Education:AAS in Business Administration, Office System Technology or an equivalent field is required. Experience:Demonstrated experience with personal computers and MS Office applications is required.  Previous payroll experience is preferred.  Additional computer applications skills desired.  Must be able to keyboard 40 wpm accurately.Two (2) years    minimum experience in an office setting required.
