2 years of formal education beyond HS or Associates degree
The Hyperbaric Nurse LPN is responsible for oversight and instrumental development of the department safety policies and procedures. The Hyperbaric Nurse LPN is responsible for maintaining and educating the department with the most current applicable safety guidelines as dictated by the regulating bodies (i.e. NFPA – 99).
The Hyperbaric Nurse LPN is the key representative for the hyperbaric chambers as it relates to safety, maintenance, chamber system compliance, problem solving, department education. The Hyperbaric Nurse LPN is responsible for supervising, competency training, adherence to standards of care and safety of the Hyperbaric Technicians and other relevant department staff.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Florida.
- Must have current BLS issued thru American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1yr experience as LPN in office setting or acute care required. Wound, hyperbaric, or critical care experience is strongly preferred.
- Must obtain certification as Hyperbaric Technician within 6mos of hire.
