High school diploma or GED required
The Patient Service Rep is responsible for providing valuable customer service to patients, vendors, insurance companies, and other medical facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Other duties may be assigned.
Patient check in (obtaining patient registration forms/identification)
Accurately enter patient insurance/demographic information into system
Triage incoming calls and route them appropriately utilizing good customer service skills
Conduct all required insurance authorizations / pre-certifications for patient visits
Obtain, prepare and process appropriate medical and/or office forms (including but not limited to patient consent forms, medical release forms, physician referrals, etc.)
Schedule appropriate new & follow-up medical / surgical appointments.
- Confirm and remind patients of scheduled appointments.
