The Lab Technologist evaluates clinical specimens using automated and manual methods in order to generate results accurately, precisely, and promptly. Using independent judgment, the Lab Technologist solves problems, performs advanced troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions, documents all corrective action, and records quality control. This position needs minimal supervision. Bonus applicable to technologists only and not technician positions.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of Florida in all five specialty areas is required for positions in General Laboratory at all locations.
· Associates Degree required or higher education as required by state to qualify for licensure.
· Internal applicants selected for this position must be licensed as a technologist in the State of Florida within 3 months of date of transfer.
