A. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL: 1. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two years of customer service, problem resolution and telecommunication experience. Hospital billing experience preferred. Working knowledge of billing and reimbursement policies of third party payors. Data entry and computer skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
2. SPECIALIZED OR TECHNICAL EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school graduate or equivalent; general math skills; computer and keyboard skills; type 45 WP; ten-key calculator by touch.
3. MANUAL OR PHYSICAL SKILL REQUIRED: Must have good visual acuity to determine quality of work. Requires sufficient dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, copier, ten-key calculator and other office equipment; long hours of sitting and working on a computer; minimal telephone contact; occasional lifting of files and/or boxes; periodic walking between various departments.
