Candidate must have a high school diploma or higher with strong skills in typing, spelling, math and language. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in medical office procedure are preferred. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to the public and clinic staff. General computer skills ad the ability to be organized and work independently are necessary.
REsponsible for scheduling rehabilitation patients, managing appropriate paperwork from initial visit through discharge, answering telephone and directing calls appropriately, organizing. ordering and inventorying office supplies, copying faxing documents as needed, facilitating communication between patients, therapists and other staff as appropriate, and providing information to patients on available services. Also responsible for computer charge entry, maintaining central filing system, responding to internal. external requests for copies of rehabilitation department medical records, and in pre-registration activities. Responsible for other duties as assigned.
