Provides medication evaluation and assessment to inpatients and outpatients within the scope of license under the supervision of the surgeon. Participate directly in the management of patients under the supervision or direction of a physician appointee of the medical staff. Provide support as directed to the Physician Services Division. Will be involved with surgery assists, clinical consults and initial evaluations. Will also perform pre-op H&P's and post-op patient care.
Current Colorado Physician Assistant license; Current certification as a Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); Medical Staff privileges (if required due to performing work duties within the hospital); a graduate from an NCCPA-approved Master's Degree Physician Assistant Program or completion of equivalent program, and 2+ years of Cardio-Thoracic experience. Must also be proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting. 06/14
