Collects patient information and procedural data, needed for quality improvement and in meeting the requirements of the data registries. [1. Demonstrates, by observation and conversation, implicit knowledge of data fields and applies correct registry definitions. 2. Collects patient data pertaining to the patient and procedure being performed. 3. Utilizes chart review, patient/family interview and other resources to acquire data.] Documents patient information and procedural data accurately, meeting both internal and external timelines. [1. Documents findings with a high degree of accuracy, 99-100% validity. 2. Completes data acquisition in a timely manner, insuring that the information is submitted within 1 week (or earlier) of deadlines.] Facilitates and assists in daily activities pertaining to data collected and utilized for outcome analysis and quality improvement. [1. Uses available technology and resources to effectively abstract/enter data. 2. Collaborates with the CCL to implement, maintain, and problem solve data abstraction processes necessary for quality improvement and the registries. ] Stays current of changes and advances in technology and the delivery of care outcomes pertinent to cardiac patients and quality improvement. [1. Participates in educational activities pertinent to procedures, equipment, techniques, and/or products specific to the cath lab. 2. Provides information and education openly and consistently that is pertinent to others in performing their duties.]
Must have RN license
PT days-56 hours per pay (bi-weekly)
Skills Reqd: None Min Experience: Clinical knowledge and/or experience, preferably in cardiac, or strong medical-surgical background. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (especially WORD or EXCEL) are preferred. Prefer familiarity with Meditech.
