Job Details:
  • Job Summary: Maintains and directs all activities relating to Hospital Infection Control and surveillance, prevention, and reporting program. Assists with monitoring and analyzing reports on infection control.  Contributes to Performance Improvement plans and activities outlined in the Organizational Performance and Improvement and Infection Control Plans. In conjunction with the Director of Infection Control, is responsible for coordination, supervision, implementation and evaluation of standards of infection control developed by the Infection Control Committee.  Assists with the development of annual Infection Control Risk Assessment and Infection Control Plan for the hospital and its offsite programs and physician practices.


    This is is a Part Time Position-15 Hours Weekly 


    Job Requirements: Associate‚Äôs degree required. Graduate of accredited Registered Professional Nursing program required. Ability to understand basic statistical analysis and presentation of epidemiological and performance improvement data required. Excellent verbal/written communication skills required. Computer proficiency and knowledge of MS Office software (Word / Excel / PowerPoint and Outlook) and data entry required. Ability to read, write and communicate in English required. Minimum three (3) years clinical health care experience required.  Minimum two (2) years hospital experience preferred. Prior background in Infection Control in any health care setting desirable. Current / valid NYS license as a Registered Nurse required.
