Job Details:
  • Job Summary:  Performs all routine Ultrasound procedures as well as some Ultrasound Special Procedure Imaging. Prepares and educates patients for procedures. Exercises professional judgment in performance of procedures. Provides patient care. Assists Performing Physicians as needed. Prepares, operates and cares for the equipment being used. Adheres to established radiology “standards of care” as well as established customer service programs. Pursues appropriate continuing education. Assumes responsibility for assigned area and duties. Responsible for maintaining Supply Inventory and Staff Scheduling. Assists the Ultrasound Lead Technologist as needed.


    Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Satisfactory completion of formal training in an A.M.A. approved Ultrasound school. Must be a registered diagnostic medical Sonographer. Minimum three (3) years’ experience as an Ultrasound Technologist preferred. Excellent verbal / written communication skills, organizational skills and the ability to plan and meet deadlines. Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience with Imaging applications.Ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation and Healthcare Guidelines. Ability to read, write and communicate in English required.
