Job Summary: Responsible for the forecasting, planning, marketing, directing and supervision of all rehabilitation services, including the Acute Inpatient Rehab Unit. Administration for administrative matters and will also be accountable for quality and clinical affairs to the Chief Medical Officer. The Director shall manage all clinical aspects of the Department and will directly supervise and mentor all Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in the department.
Job Requirements: Medical Degree (MD or DO) required; graduate of accredited school of Physiatry required. Current, valid and unrestricted NYS medical license and current registration with the NYS Education Department required. Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation required. Current, valid American Heart Association PALS and ACLS Certifications required. Five (5) years experience in acute rehabilitation required, including two years at a leadership level. Excellent problem solving, analytical, verbal and written communication skills required. Computer proficiency. Meets insurability requirements and agrees to consent within the limits of the policy, adheres to policy requirements, and successfully completes all required paperwork and education. Superior clinical skill, motivated, enthusiastic, proactive and positive personality. Must maintain compliance with hospital, local, regional, state, national and professional Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements.
