Job Summary: Responsible for the direction and coordination of the activities of nursing staff of Oncology Services. Maintains administrative responsibility for three ambulatory sites, nurses in the Radiation Oncology area, and Nurse Navigators. Sets standards and evaluates the quality and effectiveness of patient care given by the nursing staff by combining clinical expertise with strong leadership principles to ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective patient care. Responsible for holding all staff accountable to a patient centered experience and ensuring that organizational goals are met. Acts as a practitioner, educator, researcher, and consultant who is self-directed, motivated, and empowered clinical expert. Utilizes the nursing process to diagnose and treat illness and promote health within defined specialty population of oncology.
Job Requirements: Current Pennsylvania RN license. Current license as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Master’s degree in nursing. Oncology experience. 3 years of management experience. Certification in Basic CPR . Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of cancer diseases and treatments in the outpatient setting. Competence in the skills and knowledge pertinent to the practice of nursing. Interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, staff, and other customers. Ability to balance multiple priorities
