High school diploma or equivalent is required.
JOB SUMMARY:Coordinates the daily Cardiovascular Laboratory schedule with physicians and staff, anticipates scheduling needs and works to promote smooth operations of the lab. Establishes office organization and develops protocols to manage scheduling of Cardiovascular and Cardio Cath Lab, Echocardiography, Stress testing, Holter monitor patient testing, follow up phone calls, outpatient clinic appointments, administrative meetings, and community events.
High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) required.
Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited school preferred.
Two (2) years previous secretarial experience within an office environment is required, experience in a clinical setting (such as outpatient clinic) is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet highly desirable.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact in a collaborative manner.
Must have accurate typing skills of at least 60 words per minute.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of Medical Center management, physicians, staff, patients, families and the general public.
