Performs all medical assistant functions requested by and under supervision of the provider. Communicates effectively with providers, patients and staff. Protects patient rights to privacy and confidentiality. Completes all necessary paperwork for the patient's chart.
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of medical assisting. Work experience in a physician's office. Certificate from accredited medical assisting school. Ability to handle multiple patient care issues simultaneously. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Ability to understand operation of all medical equipment. Ability to understand proper protocol for all medical tests. Ability to understand growth and development stages and apply them. Ability to interact courteously and pleasantly with co-workers, providers, patients and general public. Ability to prioritize activities. Ability to be flexible/adaptable. Ability to function effectively under pressure.
