Provides enterprise-wide oversight, training and support of the health system's electronic health record information system to all end users. Serves as a liaison between the clinical enterprise and management for system improvements. Identifies systematic deficits and works well with others to find acceptable workflow solutions. Works closely with Administrator to maintain "meaningful use" status in accordance with Federal and State guidelines. Evaluates, plans, organizes and integrates information, computer and clinical sciences to optimize acquisition, storage, retrieval, management and communication of related clinical data, information and knowledge. Assess workflow related processes and requirements and facilitates system enhancements and modifications to meet clinical requirements for safety and patient care. Recommends and implements approved system improvements.
Required: Bachelor's or Associates Degree in nursing, biological/chemical/physical sciences, or computer science, with at least 3 years experience in a hospital setting. At least 3 years clinical information system experience as a sophisticated and competent end user. Must have at least 2 years hand-on experience of an EHR in an enterprise-wide setting.
