SUMMARY: At Parkview Hospital Emergency Department the screener will log and record all patient valuables and lost and found items. They will also monitor various alarms and assist customers with questions. The screeners will help maintain order in the emergency department lobby.
At Parkview Behavioral Health, manages entry into the facility and provides for screening of patients and visitors with metal detection equipment and ensures that no contraband items are brought into the facility.
Assists in keeping order in the Front lobby. Acts as a resource for customers and answers questions about the facility and our services. The screener administers related nonprofessional services necessary in assisting patients and their families. Creates a safe campus environment with an emphasis on customer relations and service excellence.
EDUCATION: Must be a high school graduate or hold a GED.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current CPR Certification within 90 days of hire; and Non Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) within six (6) months of hire.
EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in customer service, TSA or Court Room Security is preferred. Must be computer literate, have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays outside of normal scheduled work hours. Must be available to work at any Parkview owned site as needed. Must successfully pass a criminal background check. Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 LBS. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
