The Clinical Manager is responsible for all clinical and administrative functions performed in the endoscopy center and the gastroenterology practice. He/she works with the physicians and RSG management in monitoring the endoscopy center and the practice to assure it is operating at maximum efficiency within the guidelines of governmental and regulatory agencies. The Clinical Manager interviews and screens prospective staff. Other responsibilities include supervising nursing and patient care personnel, developing and maintaining policies and procedures for endoscopy center and medical practice, maintaining OSHA and Facility Safety program, and coordinating staff schedules. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and staff both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of ambulatory surgery center procedures and policies. Knowledge regarding the use of conscious sedation and patient monitoring. Leadership skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a stressful environment. Current and active NC Nursing License. Minimum 3 years' experience as a nurse. Previous management experience in a similar setting. Experience working in or managing in an outpatient surgery center preferred. AAAHC experience preferred.
