Scheduling inpatients and ordering of patient exams, preps, preparing proper paperwork for procedure, assembling of Mammography films for interpretation by radiologists if not on PACS, assisting physicians with reports, answering incoming telephone calls, transferring calls, hanging Mammography films for radiologists, transmittal of stat interpretations, Registration of walk-in patients, collecting payments, compliance checking, proper documentation for release of films, assemble Mammography films and reports for next day''s schedule and place in proper location. Clerk routinely demonstrate a strong commitment to Reid’s behavioral standards by serving as a role model to others. Clerks consistently follow the behavior standards identified in the Pledge to CARE at all times. Clerks take ownership and hold co-workers accountable. Actively promote behavioral standards to others by acknowledging good performance and coaching or intervening when performance needs improvement. Clerk completes all VOICE training as required by hospital guidelines. Participate in quarterly VOICE reviews and adapt new knowledge into daily practice under the guidance of leader. Identify and make recommendation on ideas to keep the training active. Clerk make suggestions on how service can be improved.
Preferred familiarity with medical terminology. English competency required. Legible hand writing skills required. Demonstrates courtesy, attitude, respect and enthusiasm (C.A.R.E.) in all interactions. Follows hospital policies and procedures. Successful completion of Reid Hospital orientation and competency based skills appropriate for the job. Individual performance and competency based skills are maintained through on-going assessment of competence and educational activities. Written evaluations are done on an annual basis. Computer experience.
This is a registry position. Candidate must be available to work all three shifts as needed.
