I’ve been partnering with Lean Human Capital for at least five or six years, spanning the course of two organizations. I partnered again with Lean Human Capital as part of CentraCare Health just in the last six months.

When you start to see the benefits and the outcomes and the excitement that recruiters and leaders around the organization have for changes that you effected because of the partnership with Lean, and because of the benchmarking and the Voice of the Customer that you get back as part of that process, it became something I knew I had to take with me wherever I went. And it’s something I’m proud and excited to bring to CentraCare Health.

When an organization is considering whether or not to leverage the services of Lean Human Capital, I would point to the community, the togetherness that is created, and the sharing of best practices and ideas, and more importantly, the best outcomes that you can get as a recruitment leader and a recruitment team. This community is filled with individuals that have great knowledge and expertise in that. So number one, be part of the community.

Number two, we provide a service, and it is incumbent upon us to provide that service in the best possible fashion on behalf of our patients. And that’s doing so in an effective and efficient process. And you really don’t know how well your service is that you’re providing unless you measure. And Lean Human Capital gives us the tools to measure. Whether it’s a Voice of the Customer survey for our candidates, or a hiring manager assessment survey for our managers, or it’s an annual benchmarking of your effectiveness and your efficiency analytics against the rest of the organization, or even comparing within your own team, recruiter-to-recruiter or facility-by-facility, it gives you the tools to be able to measure.

And lastly, and perhaps most importantly, it transforms data into stories, and those stories into strategies. Again, there’s a lot of data in the recruitment space, and I think most organizations struggle with, “Well I have all this data. What do I do with it?” Simply preparing a report, sharing a report that’s just data, frankly, is just numbers on a page. But once you can take that data, then benchmark it, and then tell a story around that data of how well you’re doing and why you’re doing well, or conversely, an opportunity that we have to improve and here’s how we can go about it, it takes that data and transforms it into action. And that’s what this partnership can do.
