Riverside Therapy Group is looking for a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Riverside Healthy Living Community in Smithfield, Virginia. Riverside Healthy Living community treats short term rehab, long term care and assisted living residents and has a dementia care unit.
A staff Speech/Language Pathologist is required to be flexible with daily scheduling and may be required to work various patient care settings. A staff Speech/Language Pathologist is supervised by the Rehab Services Management. Following appropriate practice, the Speech/Language Pathologist evaluates, plans, and implements individual patient care, educating, counseling patients, documents progress, and participates in planning and discharging according to the department policies and procedures. This position may also perform other assigned duties. A staff Speech/Language Pathologist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age, goal, and diagnosis appropriate care. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development throughout the life span, be able to assess patients' needs and status by analyzing evaluated data, and be able to interpret information to identify age-specific needs and provide appropriate care accordingly per patient care setting. This position must also be able to follow and adhere to the practices described in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.
Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology is required
Speech Language Pathology license in the State of Virginia is required
CPR/BLS is required
CCC-SLP from American Speech and Hearing Association is required
Previous healthcare experience is preferred
