Job Summary: This position directs, manages, and leads the Imaging Services Department. It is responsible to executive leadership for the organizing, planning, directing, and evaluating Services/Operations/Care provided with a core focus on Facility and associated departments/Units/Centers (Radiology, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine/PET and all Provider based Diagnostic Sites/Centers. This includes facility-wide decision making, goal & objective setting, policy establishment, foresight into Imaging Services & setting the communication tone, values & culture of Imaging Services. Works through leadership team to provide administrative oversight and direction in the provision of a comprehensive range of services or clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans. The position reports to the VP/Facility Administrator. The director is responsible for Initiating Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement projects on an on-going basis so as to improve key aspects of service and to ensure services meet best practice and evidence based standards of care. The Director is also responsible for Radiologic safety, inspections by various regulatory agencies, ACR accreditations Environment of Care, and for maintaining compliances with OSHA, DNV and/or The Joint Commission, and the Medicare Conditions of Participation or any other regulatory body governing this service line. This position also participates and represents the hospital in community wide initiatives such as radiology services, pediatric radiology services and adult services standards. The director is responsible for demonstrating RHS Leadership values and the Riverside Care Difference competently and represents RSMH and participants in health system work groups for Imaging Services.
Education: Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology. Bachelor's degree is required or must be actively pursuing bachelor's degree.
Certification/Licensure: Registered by the American Registry of radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required. Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) is preferred or willing to pursue.
Experience: 3-5 years of progressive management experience in an acute care hospital setting which has provided opportunities to develop skill in radiology practice and in the application of leadership & administrative principles. Cross training or registry in additional modalities is required.
