Job Summary: Effectively utilizes all department specific computer systems including Medipac, Invision, Athena, Clinicals, Imaging, Centricity, AHIQA, Cerner, AGFA and others as required. Responsible for registration of all patient types and status', having full understanding of the requirements for in the RHS Charity program and self-pay processes, network / out of network, authorizations vs. no authorizations, Medical Necessity, providing quotes, calculating patient payments, electronically posting patient payments; identifying issues and reporting trends. Acts as a liaison between Imaging Services and all other departments and insurance companies providing consistent, detailed and relevant detail on issues and trends. Must demonstrate strong problem solving skills, high attention to detail and an aptitude for learning. Promotes teamwork and customer service by demonstrating positive interpersonal relations.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required, and 1+ years experience in business office setting preferred or College Degree accepted in lieu of experience.
Certification: CHAA obtained within 2 years of employment.
Hours: Varies between 6:30am - 8pm (Monday-Friday)
Locations: Must be able to travel between multiple Imaging facilities; RRMC, RDC-Oyster Point, RDC-Hampton, RDC-Williamsburg, Gloucester.
