Riverside PACE located in Newport News, Virginia is seeking a Full Time Quality and Staff Development Coordinator to join their team.


Job Summary: Works under the supervision of the Site Director and Medical Director. The position is responsible for facilitating collaboration between the site and quality department in areas of quality, compliance and participant care/safety concerns. Serves as a consultant and facilitator to the management team in assessing learning needs and in planning, implementing and evaluation educational actives for the staff. Participants in morning/IDT meetings to ensure compliance with organizational policy/procedures. Attends and assists the site director in the monthly quality team meetings. Responsible for site level data entry/accuracy of all quality related documents daily to include but not limited to grievances, incident reports, service requests, falls and HPMS data logs and maintenance of supporting quality data binders. Conducts PACE orientation and staff education regarding quality improvement process, participant safety, HIPAA/Fraud and Abuse compliance topics. Schedules and communicates to staff educational programs at the site. Partners with PACE Site Director/department managers in assisting with conducting apparent cause analysis. Assists with performing audits and other projects as needed.


Education: Minimum of a RN diploma OR bachelor's degree in related field (quality, staff development, healthcare related, business, performance improvement, etc.) required. If degree is in Nursing, Bachelors or Masters level highly preferred.


Certification/Licensure: Current, valid drivers license and acceptable driving record required upon hire and to be maintained during employment. Must also have reliable transportation to make visits to facilities.


Experience: At least 2 years experience in data entry to include demonstrated proficiency and intermediate/advanced skill level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook). One year of experience working with the frail and elderly population. Experience preferred in an in-home nursing facility or acute care setting, the development of educational/training programs/materials. Preferred staff training/education in health care setting.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm
