Riverside Behavioral Health Center located in Hampton, Virginia is seeking an Executive Director for their facility.

Riverside Behavioral Health Center offers the most comprehensive range of behavioral health programs on the Virginia Peninsula. An established mental health care provider in Hampton Roads since 1983,  Riverside Behavioral Health Center provides psychiatric and chemical dependency services to children, adolescents and adults on an outpatient and inpatient basis. We offer a variety of services such as Inpatient Adult Services, Inpatient Child and Adolescent Services, Adolescent Residential Services and Outpatient Services, to individuals who experience emotional, psychological and behavioral problems. Individual, family and group therapy, recreation therapy, art therapy, life skills groups, and medication management are key components of the programs we provide. 

Job Summary: Directs, coordinates and administers the operations and activities of the hospital in order to effectively advance the hospitals responsiveness to community healthcare needs and to achieve established goals and objectives. Provide the highest quality of patient care/professional services, optimum utilization of the facility and adequate staffing while earning a reasonable return on invested capital. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to direct/support care appropriate the age of the patient population served, principles of growth and development over the life span and assessment and evaluation of data reflective of patient care, status and requirements relative to age-specific needs.

Educational Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or administration.

 

Experience Requirements: Minimum of five years related experience in leadership or management in a hospital or health care setting. Must have at least two years of professional experience working with children in a behavioral health setting with administration or supervisory experience. Expertise in the area of leadership, administration and operations. Ability to develop and direct organizational strategies and promote high quality patient care.
