JOB SUMMARY: Participates in the Riverside Pastoral Care Residency training program under the supervision of the Pastoral Care Director at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Visits and provides pastoral care to assigned patients, families, RRMC staff and medical center. Prepares written material, completes assigned reading and demonstrates understanding of didactic material while working appropriately under the guidance of Pastoral Care Director. Engages Riverside patients, visitors, staff, peers in a helpful manner. Works with Staff Chaplain, Community Clergy and Churches in a professional and mutually acceptable manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required, BA/BS Degree in Religious Studies or equivalent, strongly preferred; Master of Divinity Degree or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Previous work in hospital, parish, or related field of ministry preferred.
HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, on call as needed.
