Riverside Cancer Infusion Center in Chesapeake, Virginia is currently seeking a full-time Clinical Pharmacist.

Job Summary: The clinical pharmacist will be accountable for all aspects of pharmaceutical care within their assigned clinical locations including the day to day supervision of pharmacy technicians. Major responsibilities include monitoring, screening and verification of all medication and chemotherapy treatment plans for accuracy of dose, indication, route, treatment parameters and administration schedule. The incumbent will provide drug information for patients and team members. The incumbent must possess the skills and ability to assess data reflective of patient status and to interpret this information and identify the patients' needs in relation to age and/or disease specific requirements. The clinical pharmacist will supervise pharmacy technicians and may assist with the compounding of admixtures if needed. The clinical pharmacist will serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Graduate of school of pharmacy. If a foreign graduate of pharmacy, has completed all requirements for equivalency as outlined by the National Association of Board of Pharmacy (NABP)

Licensure: Licensed or eligible by the State of Virginia as a pharmacist.

Experience: Completed ASHP approved PGY 1 residency and has one year of clinical pharmacy experience or 3 years of clinical pharmacist experience. PGY2 in Oncology is preferred. Board certification in oncology will be required within 3 years of employment.
