Riverside Health System is seeking a full time Risk Management Coordinator.
Job Summary: Responsible for supporting the Risk Finance and Claims Management program within the Risk Management Department. These duties will include, but not be limited to: processing invoices and securing payments related to medical malpractice claims, and other relevant insurance program invoices, maintaining electronic claim files and updating those files as appropriate; maintaining the RHS Vehicle listing including adding and deleting RHS vehicles and drivers as appropriate; working with the appropriate external insurance adjustor in filing RHS automobile claims, processing and tracking auto claims payments; and filing RHS property related claims with the appropriate carrier. Reviews all RRMC safety reports for the presence of potentially compensable events. Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Risk Manager, the Risk Management Coordinator will initiate and process RHS waivers. The Risk Management Coordinator will also assist as an on-site Notary for RHS during normal business hours.
Education: Completion of some college/business courses preferred.
Certification/Licensure: Virginia Notary preferred.
Experience: 2 years of related experience in a office environment and typing 50-60 WPM.
