Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, Virginia is currently seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist.

The hospital features 52 private inpatient rooms, 10 of which are ICU rooms and another 6 of which are Mother/Baby rooms, a 13-bed ER with all private rooms and three state-of-the-art ORs. Job Summary: This role assists with the coordination of nursing care of the patient in the operating room and functions as a team member of the surgical team. Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of equipment, instrumentation and supplies on the sterile field. Requires the cleaning and replenishment of equipment and supplies in order to maintain quality patient care. Responsible for the handling and management of specimens and surgical counts. Assumes the role of expert for specific surgical service, is responsible for monitoring the surgical schedule for equipment and supply needs, prepares for daily case readiness, supports the Specialty Nurse with the surgeon preference cards, and for identifying, communicating, and educating service changes. Call is required.

Education: Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program or equivalent preferred.

Certification: CST certification preferred

Experience: Previous experience as a Surgical Tech preferred
