Job Summary: Works under the supervision of the Director of Programming and Therapy Services to provide quality therapeutic services for patients, residents, and their families including individual, family, and group therapy, assessment, treatment planning, and documentation, in order to reduce or eliminate psychological, behavioral, or chemical dependency problems that necessitated admission. Actively performs as a member of an interdisciplinary team and demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide clinical care appropriate to the age of the patient or resident served. This is a labor pool position that provides individual, family, and group therapy for children, adolescents, and adults in an inpatient setting who are experiencing psychiatric crisis. This individual works as needed to cover vacations, sick time, and census fluctuations.
Education: Requires PhD, PsyD, or Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field that enables applicant to pursue licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW) through the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
Certification/Licensure: Current BLS certification is required within 10 days of hire and maintained thereafter. First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter. Team member expected to be working toward licensure (LCSW or LPC).
Experience: Clinical internship in a hospital or residential setting or two years clinical experience preferred.
