About Medical Surgical Specialty 3 Annex:
These two units consist of medical and surgical beds with remote telemetry monitoring capability. Our adult patients typically comprise of diagnoses such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sickle cell disease, diabetes, dialysis and much more. With a wide variety of comorbidities, our nurses develop a broad skill set, an impressive depth of knowledge, and amazing prioritization/time management.

Are you a new graduate? We want to offer our support and grow your skills by enrolling you into our Nurse Residency Program. Riverside has joined the Vizient/ACCN Nurse Residency Program™ (NRP) which is designed to support new nurse graduates as they transition into their first professional roles. Built on evidence based curriculum developed by experts from academic medical centers and nursing schools across the country, the program focuses on these critical areas; leadership, patient outcomes and professional role. This is a yearlong program and is considered paid work time supported by your education and leadership teams.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
- Graduate of school of professional nursing of an accredited college.
- Obtain BLS, and as needed ACLS, unit specific certifications.
- Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC).
- Successfully complete orientation and competency requirements.
- Meet essential job functions.
