Riverside Regional Medical Center located in Newport News, Virginia has opportunities for Registered Nurses for the SICU!
The Surgical ICU is a fast-paced, high acuity, 18 bed multi-specialty critical care unit located in the Pavilion at RRMC. Nurses in the SICU care for a wide variety of surgical specialties to include caring for trauma, cardiothoracic, neurosurgical, stroke, vascular, and general surgery patients. Our nurses work closely with physicians and nurse practitioners to provide care for patients with multi-organ dysfunction, ventilators, vasoactive drips. We pride ourselves on teamwork, strong communication skills, providing excellent patient care and service excellence. Nurses in the SICU develop a very broad and marketable set of skills to care for this diverse patient population.
EDUCATION: MSN, BSN, ADN, or nursing diploma required. Specialty certification in field highly encouraged.
LICENSURE: Licensed RN or board eligible by the State of Virginia or compact state. CPR required for all Critical Care/Telemetry units. ACLS preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Experience preferred in an acute care setting but not required.
