The Clinical Nurse Specialist/Educator is responsible for the development and implementation of efficient and effective programs for competency validation, continuing education, workforce development and patient education. Programs are based on the principles of evidenced based practice and adult learning. This individual is responsible for collaborating with facility leaders and nurse leadership team to achieve best practices, educational excellence and implementation of current health system initiatives.
Educational Requirements: BSN degree required. Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred. Coursework in Adult Education preferred.
License / Certification Requirements: RN by the State of Virginia or compact state. Must have current ACLS and BLS certifications required. Specialty Certification as Nurse Educator highly desired.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 5 years RN experience in Acute Care Setting required. Previous/current experience as educator within hospital setting preferred.
Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:30am – 5:00pm
