Riverside Doctors Hospital Williamsburg is currently seeking a labor pool (as needed) Pharmacist.

Designed and built with a focus on patient-centered care, Riverside Doctors' Hospital Williamsburg is the pinnacle of Riverside's commitment to the residents of the Williamsburg region. Riverside Doctors' Hospital opened in May 2013 and is licensed for 40 private rooms - 33 medical/surgical rooms and seven intensive care rooms. The full-service emergency department has 12 private patient rooms. The ground floor of the new hospital features a lobby/public area; café; meditation room; community education/conference space; emergency department; cardio/pulmonary services; and outpatient diagnostic services that include laboratory and imaging (X-ray). The second floor includes inpatient and outpatient surgery; medical/surgical patient rooms; intensive care unit; pharmacy; and a lifelong health center which will focus on simplifying the transition from inpatient acute care to other settings outside the hospital. Job Summary: Supervises and performs compounding (both sterile and non-sterile), packaging and dispensing of pharmaceuticals according to prescription, physician order or floor stock request. Monitors patient profiles to assure appropriate dosage and therapy. Possesses the skills and ability to assess data reflective of patient status and to interpret this information and identify the patients' needs in relation to age specific requirements, and to provide care as described in accordance with state and federal law and regulation, and facility policy and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Graduate of school of pharmacy. If a foreign graduate of pharmacy, has completed all requirements for equivalency as outlined by the National Association of Board of Pharmacy (NABP)

Licensure: Licensed or eligible by the State of Virginia as a pharmacist Experience: Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Must be able-read, comprehend and interpret data.
