Riverside Health System is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our Total Rewards team! 

Job Summary: Works under the supervision of the Manager, Benefits Services. Administers payroll processing and remittance preparation for qualified retirement savings plans. Maintains day-to-day communication with savings plan vendor, implementing any necessary changes and plan resolution. Serves as liaison to on-site DIA representative. Processes benefit-eligible terminations to include coordination with COBRA TPA. Performs in a supporting role on the annual open enrollment process. Assists Benefits Manager on retirement plan changes, updates, communications and special projects. Assists Manager and System Director on special projects. Oversees the DollarSmart employee discount program as well as the retiree medical program, inpatient deductible waiver, and life claims processes. Provides team member education on employee benefits. Provides customer service and benefit plan problem solving for all centralized benefits plans. Serves as a liaison among benefit plan carriers, RHS Human Resources Departments, and employees in order to provide customer service according to the terms of coverage.

Education: Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Degree may be substituted by a combined 5 years of Benefits/HR experience.

Experience: 3 years of benefits experience required. Experience in HR, Payroll with emphasis on retirement plans is preferred.  Will accept Bachelor's degree in lieu of experience if candidate has exceptional customer service skills and demonstrated excel, word and power point skills in HR setting. 

 

Skills: Knowledge of benefit plans preferred. Exceptional customer services skills by phone and in person required. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail required. Proficient computers skills with excel, word, outlook and PowerPoint required.
