Riverside Doctors Hospital Williamsburg is currently seeking a labor pool (as needed) Pharmacy Tech.

Designed and built with a focus on patient-centered care, Riverside Doctors' Hospital Williamsburg is the pinnacle of Riverside's commitment to the residents of the Williamsburg region. Riverside Doctors' Hospital opened in May 2013 and is licensed for 40 private rooms - 33 medical/surgical rooms and seven intensive care rooms. The full-service emergency department has 12 private patient rooms. The ground floor of the new hospital features a lobby/public area; café; meditation room; community education/conference space; emergency department; cardio/pulmonary services; and outpatient diagnostic services that include laboratory and imaging (X-ray). The second floor includes inpatient and outpatient surgery; medical/surgical patient rooms; intensive care unit; pharmacy; and a lifelong health center which will focus on simplifying the transition from inpatient acute care to other settings outside the hospital. Job Summary: This is a specialized role that will work in the Emergency Department directly with patients prior to admission home medication list. The Technician assists pharmacists in performing routine duties as required as well as performing pharmacy related duties in compliance with department policies and procedures. This role arranges sequence and timing of work to meet normal and variable work requirements. The Technician provides technical support in any or all of the following pharmacy functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Graduate preferred.

Licensure: Registration with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy required. PTCB (or other national certification) required within 9 months of hire.

Experience: Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Must be able-read, comprehend and interpret data.
