Riverside Health System has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior IT Project Manager. This role reports to the Director of Information Systems of Riverside Health System. The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for the management of project teams in IT and is responsible for the coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts. This individual ensures that all project team members, including internal and/or external resources, follow and maintain all IT standards and processes, and adhere to the project management framework procedures and documentation. The position requires the ability to supervise multiple projects and various levels of staff and requires a general technical background, strong business knowledge and very strong project management skills. It is extremely important for this person to possess excellent people skills to routinely interact with team members as well as business personnel and management. Should be driven to improve processes & technology within the department as well as other areas of the business. Must always be able to independently resolve problems, pro-actively communicate, and manage projects. Plans, implements, directs, and maintains IT support services for all Riverside Health Systems facilities and businesses to optimize information availability to direct patient care givers and other support personnel and departments in support of Riverside Health Systems world class patient-focused care.

Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts of the project team on a daily basis. This includes providing feedback on the performance of all internal resources to their respective Mgr. and/or Director; and providing feedback on the performance of all external resources to the appropriate IT leadership member (at Mgr. or Director levels) Interact with the business (users) to understand their needs and to anticipate ways in which technological solutions can enhance the business processes. Responsible for communicating and/or reporting the status of all projects to senior IT leadership, as well as the business. The communication with the business (users) will include helping them understand the impact of the solution, the project's timeline and expected functionality. Tracks and reports key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of the customers/business (users).Coordinates the communication to all project stakeholders with regards to the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort s/he manages.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field required. Master's degree desired. PMP certification & Technical software background required

Experience: 5 to 7 years of related IT project experience, including project lead experience is required. 2+ years leading large projects is required. Candidate should have experience with day to day supervision of all project team members, providing feedback to IT leadership on performance of both internal and external resources assigned to his/her projects. Greater than 5 years of progressive management experience in HealthCare Information Systems is preferred. Requires an understanding of the healthcare business and the technologies used to support the healthcare industry. A strong business background with excellent communication skills is required.
