The Senior Vice-President/Chief Nursing Officer  is responsible for leading, planning, organizing and directing an environment of excellence that supports the delivery of optimal patient care services throughout Riverside Health System. The Senior Vice-President/Chief Nursing Officer is also responsible and accountable for the overall leadership of nursing to include education and professional development, research, standardization of evidence-based nursing practice across the health system, administration of nursing services, and collaboration among clinical, provider and support areas. Additionally, the Senior Vice-President/Chief Nursing Officer provides strategic and operational leadership so that nursing services are an integral part of the health care team and in alignment with RHS strategic goals and objectives to insure a positive experience for patients and their families. Master’s degree or higher required in Nursing, Health Care Administration or related field. At least 10 years of nursing leadership/management experience with 3 years of executive nursing leadership in a comparable healthcare organization in size and complexity. Must understand the operations of a healthcare organization, current trends and changes within the industry. Strong strategic and business operations experience required. Licensed or eligible by the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
