Works under the direction of a qualified physician and the Imaging Services Director. Responsible for effectively managing technologists and/or ancillary personnel by providing oversight and direction in the provision of a comprehensive range of services assigned within specific areas, procedure rooms or satellites of the department or aligned service areas and for processes and procedures that impacted daily operations. This position requires a high level of technical experience, initiative, independent judgment and understanding of clinical operations. Functioning as a team leader supports, aligns, and implements strategic objectives. Responsible for all shift operations and staffing levels. Provides leadership and mentorship/support to meet the operational needs of the team and department. Ensures the provision of competent services through appropriate validation process of staff competency in the range/care in accordance with RHS goals and strategic plans. Implements and assures utilization of policies/protocols. Responsible for necessary quality control performance and documentation that support accreditation and best practice. Maintains knowledge of area(s) of clinical supervision, determine workforce needs/patterns, interview / hire/discipline personnel, and participates in development of yearly budget and strategic planning. Provides leadership in compliance with applicable regulatory, state, federal, accreditation and safety standard.
Education: Graduate of an allied health program with at least five years of imaging experience and 3 years of leadeship experience required.
Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and CPR/BLS required.
Experience: minimum 5 years of imaging experience and 3 years of leadeship experience required.
