Education required includes High School Diploma or GED, with additional specialized secretarial training preferred. Training in medical terminology is preferred.
Experience required includes prior work experience in a medical office or related clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
Primary duties include: Maintain financial records, end of day balance of money drawer, maintain patient records, medical and clerical, educational supplies, occasional typist duties, assist with grant opportunities with record keeping, discount hospital bills, procedures, schedule referrals for testing and specialist, utilize pharmacy program, Some daily duties include front desk, patient check in and check out, answering telephones and taking messages, referrals, chart organization, etc.
This job encompassess all duties relating to front office daily functions. Oustanding customer service skills are required.
