    Regional One Health, home to one of the Top Level I Trauma Centers in the Country. Perioperative Services is currently seeking energetic and dynamic Intraoperative Registered Nurses to work on a full-time basis in our Trauma OR!!

    JOB SUMMARY: 

    Provides professional nursing care to surgical patients within operating rooms/surgical services utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care before, during and after the completion of the surgery.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:  Graduate of an approved nursing school/program.  Qualified by education, perioperative training, or experience to work with the school age, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient population in the or setting.  Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work within a team environment.  Ability and willingness to apply nursing knowledge and skills and maintain clinical competency as in the surgical suite.

     

    EXPERIENCE:  


    2 years of clinical nursing or Surgical Tech experience in a OR setting is required. 

      

    Trauma and orthopedic surgery experience is highly preferred. 


    LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION:  

     

    Active Registered Nurse licensure to work in the state of Tennessee.  

     

    American Heart Association BLS required

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Prolonged standing and walking; lifting, turning patients and equipment; repeated bending, squatting and stooping; exposure to infectious agents.  Visual acuity is needed to assess color changes, to verify accuracy of written materials, and to administer and accurately prepare medications.  Heavy Work - Exerting up to 150 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 30 pounds of force constantly to move objects.  (May be further defined as "with or without assistance.")
