RN/Professional Development Specialist- needed to provided educational support (Intensive Care Units) -Regional Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center seeks EXPERT in evidence-based practice and current research.
JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides expertise in practice, development, education, quality, process improvement, and clinical leadership for the healthcare team, patients and family members. Acts as a clinical resource for staff and the leadership team to elevate practice and professionalism.
Coordinates staff orientation to insure successful, expedient transition to independent practice through ongoing evaluation and development of the content and structure of orientation, the preparation and effectiveness of preceptors, and the progression of new hires; coordinates resources and insures appropriate records for core certifications & competencies of all ICU Services areas; lead teams to develop content and process improvement initiatives to improve ICU operations and practice.
EDUCATION: MSN from an approved school/program required. May consider MSN candidate with exceptional directly related work achievements. Strongly prefer applicant with Doctorate/DNP.
EXPERIENCE: Three-five (3-5) years of full-time experience in the assigned clinical area is required. One (1) year as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Clinical Nurse Educator is strongly preferred. Experience with a large hospital system strongly preferred.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION: Current licensure as Registered Nurse in State of Tennessee required. BLS/ACLS required. Professional certification, specialty specific, (CCRN, CNOR, CNS, etc) preferred.
