Reports to the Manager of Healthy Communities, the project coordinator will carry out day to day planning and implementation activities of the three-phase plan to address adolescent health promotion, disease prevention and health education. Works in a collaborative and cooperative environment around; which is wrapped a network of six organizations with policy and planning authority for the project. Develops and trains staff and university interns in prevention and health education content and an arts-based curriculum. Serves as the spokesperson for the coalition and Sarah Bush Lincoln on adolescent prevention basics and health communication through the arts. Bachelor's degree in the Arts, Community Health Education, Marketing, Communications, Education or related field. Minimum of two years experience in educational program planning and supervision or the process required. Solid knowledge and experience of technology applications including graphic design software, video production, word processing, e-mail, chat rooms and Internet Web Site use. Experience with community coalition building, organizing and sustaining a community board, working with and among community groups. Excellent organizational, communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
