Our Communication Operators:

  • Receive and answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the designated person, via office telephone, page, or radio
  • Place long distance calls for staff and patients
  • Answer and initiate responses to all emergency calls
  • Page staff and monitor radio base station and various alarms
  • Maintain chronological logs and records


  • High school diploma and at least 3 months of related operator experience; 1 year of relevant experience will be considered as a substitute for possession of a high school diploma

  • Must have ability to effectively and efficiently operate a CBX (Computerized Business Exchange), electronic telephone sets, radio base station, paging system, fire and other alarm systems, and emergency fire telephone procedures sufficient to cope with a large volume of inquiries and situations, including emergencies
