The Co-Ed Adolescent Mood Disorder Unit is for the multi-disciplinary assessment, evaluation, crisis intervention, and stabilization of adolescent female and male patients. Discharge planning emphasizes movement to day hospital or outpatient care as soon as the crisis has been stabilized. 

As an Art Therapist you will:

• Plan, structure, coordinate, execute and evaluate art psychotherapy sessions and other programming groups based on the specific needs and diagnosis of the patient population
• Evaluate and record patients' progress in the medical record

• Contribute clinical input in treatment team meetings


• Conduct orientation and in-service programs in art therapy for students and staff as requested


• May provide clinical supervision to LGPATs (applies to LCPATs only)

Requirements:

• Master's degree in art therapy from an accredited college or university; depending on assignment may be required to have education/training specific to age and diagnosis of patient population


• Must have or be eligible for a Maryland State license as a Licensed Graduate Professional Art Therapist (LGPAT) or Licensed Clinical Professional Art Therapist (LCPAT) at time of hire and throughout tenure in position


• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
