Must be able to operate and maintain central plant equipment safely and in accordance with established policies, codes and governing bodies. Must be able to repair and troubleshoot all facility and plant equipment and perform corrective and routine scheduled preventive maintenance. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Major Duties: Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital’s strategic goals. Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives. Must be able to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs to the electrical and plumbing systems. Perform PM's and corrective work orders in a safe and timely manner. Maintain building and equipment with all state, local, and federal codes.
Perform preventative maintenance and corrective work orders on all off campus buildings. Complete daily rounds. Must maintain clean driving record to operate company vehicles. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization. Education/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Preferred: General central plant equipment operation, maintenance and repair. Mechanical, electrical soldering and refrigeration repair. Must be able to read blue prints. Must have basic computer skills. Trade school in related field. Required: General working knowledge of central plant equipment operation, maintenance and repair. Refrigeration repair. Working knowledge of hospital plant equipment. Basic electrical and plumbing skills. High school or equivalent with five years experience.
