  • Working collaboratively with Gulf South Quality Network (GSQN), the SMH Medical Staff,  and quality, the Clinical Integration Coordinator will assist in the development of a Local Chapter of GSQN; communicate the vision of the GSQN Local Chapter to internal and external stakeholders (i.e. - Members, Slidell Memorial Hospital (SMH) Administration, health plans, employers, community leaders, media); and assist the director in identifying the appropriate management resources necessary to support the governance and operations of the GSQN Local Chapter in order to achieve the mission and realize the vision of the organization.  The clinical integration coordinator will assist the director in identifying. Major Duties: Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital’s strategic goals.  Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives. Actively engages in business development activities as appropriate to implement the GSQN Local Chapter including education and enrollment of physicians. Facilitates GSQN Local Chapter and GSQN.  Administration in the planning and monitoring of activities to ensure that they appropriately measure and respond to the needs of the GSQN’s Members. In collaboration with the Local Chapter, and with the input of the GSQN’s administrative leadership and Participating Members, develops and updates the vision of the GSQN. Communicates the vision of the GSQN to internal and external stakeholders (i.e. GSQN Members, Hospital Administration, health plans, employers, community leaders, and media).  Ensures that the GSQN mission and values are represented in all actions and activities of the Local Chapter, Committees, and of the GSQN organization as a whole. Communicates the need for management resources to support the governance and operations of the Local Chapter in order to achieve the mission and realize the vision of the organization. Resolves conflict between and amongst Members; GSQN leadership and administration; and Hospital Administration and support staff.  Communicates the required shared resource needs to Quality Director to ensure that appropriate SMH resources are brought to bear to support operations of the GSQN Local Chapter in order to achieve the mission and realize the vision of the organization. Communicates any resource gaps or performance issues, in regards to shared staff or resources, to Hospital Administrators.  Performs initial review of all GSQN Local Chapter policies, proposed or modified, and submits policies for the approval of the Local Chapter. Performs final review of all GSQN marketing materials and submits them to the Local Chapter for approval. Ensures that the GSQN brand is maintained in all internal and external communications originated by the GSQN or its partners /sponsors.  Develops materials to be presented in Local Chapter meetings to ensure they are complete, concise, pertinent, and accurate. Facilitates Board meetings to ensure that meetings are focused on achieving stated objectives and that the perspectives of all Chapter members are heard and appropriately considered. In coordination with the GSQN Local Chapter Chair, ensures the appropriate rotation of GSQN Local Chapter and Committee members.  Assists in the identification of potential GSQN Local Chapter and Committee members and officers for approval by the full GSQN Local Chapter.  Ensures new Local Chapter and Committee members are appropriately oriented to their responsibilities and expectations. Provides individual physician education of Crimson application as well as opportunities for performance improvement to meet GSQN goals. Collaborates with quality data analyst to maintain integrity and validity of Crimson application. Maintains working knowledge of managed care principles and operations; the national healthcare legal and regulatory environment; federal antitrust law; quality/performance improvement processes. Serves as an ex officio member of the GSQN Local Chapter and its Committees, and attends Committee meetings as appropriate.  Committees of the GSQN include, but are not limited to, the following: GSQN Local Chapter, CI Quality Committee, Information Technology Committee, Payer Committee.  Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization.  Education/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  Preferred:  BSN with 3-5 years clinical experience, 2-5 years data analytics or healthcare auditing experience or Masters Degree in Nursing.  Knowledge of quality/performance improvement concepts and clinical integration; excellent organizational skills and able to work independently.  Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; adept at, report writing, data mining, and statistical analysis.  Must possess effective communication skills and ability to interact with physicians, management, and healthcare personnel.  Required:  BSN with 3 years clinical experience, 2 years data analytics experience; knowledge of quality/performance improvement concepts and clinical integration.  Must have positive attitude with excellent communication skills; possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with ability to work independently.  Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, report writing, data mining, and statistical analysis. Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse licensed in Louisiana; Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
