  • GENERAL SUMMARY

    Works under the supervision of the Director of Community Relations. The Graphic Design Graduate’s primary job function is to assist the Graphic Design Specialist with layouts and designs of internal and external communication pieces, i.e. brochures, newsletters, ads, posters and flyers and arrange for printing and placement as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    A. Education
    GED/High School Diploma required.    Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Arts or communications; or equivalent experience is required.


    B. Licensure
    None

    C. Experience
    Must have knowledge and experience working with Adobe Creative Suite package (InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator and
    Dreamweaver) and with Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).     Photography experience a plus.

    D. Interpersonal Skills
    Communicating well with others, ability to deal with demanding people. Friendly, accommodating.

    E. Essential Technical/Motor Skills
    ability to concentrate, assessing/evaluating.  Attention to detail.
    Good memory skills.
    Explaining. Synthesizing, problem solving, reasoning, flexibility, work with deadlines and irregular schedules.
    Proper design and writing skills, knowledge of layout and design and photography, printing

    F. Essential Physical Requirements
    Sedentary to light.    Occasionally may carry up to 10 pounds.  Stands and/or sits for 5-8 hours when working at the computer.


    G. Essential Mental Requirements
    Analytical skills, ability to concentrate, assessing/evaluating.    Attention to detail.
    Explaining, synthesizing, problem solving, reasoning, flexibility, work with deadlines and irregular schedules.
    Proper design and writing skills, knowledge of layout and design, photography and printing.

    H. Essential Sensory Requirements
    Good vision and the ability to hear and speak clearly are continuously required.
